Ghoryan District Police Chief killed in Taliban attack

Ghoryan District Police Chief Naqibullah Sultanzay was killed in an armed attack by Taliban militants in the Herat province in western Afghanistan.

Herat Police Department Spokesperson Abdul Ahad Valizadah told the press, that the militants carried out an armed attack on the Ghoryan district of Herat.

Stating that Ghoryan District Police Chief Sultanzey and 3 security officers were killed in the attack, that 5 militants were killed in the clash that followed Valizadah said.
