The foundation of Merhume Serp Fidan Mosque was laid in northern Afghanistan
The foundation of the mosque to be opened in the name of the deceased Serap Fidan in the village of Khorasan in Mazar-e Sharif city in the north of Afghanistan was laid.
Fazil Ali Erdogan, TIKA Mazar-e-Sharif Coordinator; Abdulcelil Alpkıray, Turkey’s Religious Affairs Directorate of Religious Services Attaché in Afghanistan; Ali Ashna, Director of Turkey’s Maarif Foundation Mazar-i-Sharif Education Center; Muhammed Zarif, District Governor; police chief, opinion leaders and villagers attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the mosque to be opened by the inititiative of Ahde Vefa Turan Union Association and by means of Irfan Association.
The ceremony started with the informational speech of the president of the Irfan Association about the mosque.
At the ceremony, the Quran was recited to the soul of Serap Fidan.
The foundations of the to-be-built-mosque were laid by the members of the protocol at the end of the ceremony.
According to the information obtained from Irfan Association, the width of the mosque is 100 square meters and when its construction is completed, approximately 300 people will be able to worship inside.
In addition, it was reported that a water well, an ablution room for 10 people and 2 toilets will be built next to the mosque, again in the name of the late Mrs. Serap Fidan.
It is noted that the expense of the mosque complex will be covered by the children of the deceased.
