At least seven people were killed and six wounded in blasts in west of Kabul

The Ministry of Defense reports that 7 people were killed in a series of explosions in Kabul.

The Interior Ministry says that two consecutive explosions took place this afternoon (Saturday, June 12) in western Kabul.

According to the ministry, the first blast occurred in the 13th district and minutes later the second blast took place near Ali Jannah Hospital in the 6th district of Kabul.

Ahmad Zia, deputy spokesman for the interior ministry, said seven people had been killed and six others injured in the blasts.

According to Mr. Zia, there is a possibility of an increase in the number of casualties.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the blasts.
