Abdullah Abdullah met with the President of Turkey

Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council, met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.

Mr. Abdullah thanked the Turkish Republic for inviting it to participate in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum and congratulated the President on the successful holding of the Summit and thanked Turkey for its cooperation for Afghanistan and the support of the Republic of Turkey and the President himself for peace.

Dr. Abdullah spoke about the peace efforts in Afghanistan and the latest political and security developments in the country and the region, and called for the continued support of the Republic of Turkey for the peace process in Afghanistan.

The Turkish President thanked Dr. Abdullah for attending the Antalya Diplomatic Assembly and assured him and his country of their support for the Afghan people and peace efforts. “Turkey wants peace and stability in Afghanistan and is always by the side of the Afghan people,” he said.
