July 20 was named Abbas Karimi Day in Florida, USA

According to the newsletter of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, after the previous championships of Abbas Karimi, a disabled Afghan swimmer, city officials in the United States have named July 20 after Abbas Karimi.

The official Twitter page of the city of Fort Launderdale, a coastal city in the US state of Florida, has published pictures of the occasion, which has been celebrated since July 20, 2021, under the title of Abbas Karimi Day in that city.

Abbas Karimi, a young Afghan swimmer from Bamyan province, was born without hands. This new achievement of Abbas Karimi has been welcomed in the United States.
