Badpikh district of Laghman province was cleared of Taliban
The Ministry of Interior announced that Badpikh district of Laghman province was cleared of Taliban fighters in a security operation.
According to the newsletter of this ministry, this operation was launched last night and it inflicted heavy losses on the enemy.
The ministry also reported in another newsletter that 16 Taliban fighters were killed in a targeted operation in Laghman province.
The security and defense forces killed six Taliban fighters and wounded 10 others in a series of targeted operations in Mehtarlam, the capital of Laghman province, as well as in Alingar and Qarghahi districts, the statement said.
According to the newsletter, a number of vehicles and equipment of this group were also destroyed in this operation.
The Taliban have not yet commented.
