The Taliban reached an initial agreement with Turkey and Qatar on the management of the country’s five airports

The Ministry of Transport and Aviation says the Taliban have reached an agreement with joint Qatari and Turkish companies on the details of aviation security, ground services and airspace of the Afghanistan’s five airports.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry also confirmed that the three sides had reached an agreement on the management of Afghanistan’s airports and that the final round of talks was scheduled for next week.

Meanwhile, commercial flights have been suspended after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, and now, with the transfer of five airports to foreign companies, there is optimism that these flights will resume.
