European Union: Russia bombs Ukraine like Syria

The EU foreign policy chief says Russia is bombing Ukraine, just like Syria, without thinking about the lives of civilians.
“Russia is bombing Ukraine, just like Syria, without considering the lives of civilians,” EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell said during a meeting in Brussels on Russia’s attacks on Ukraine.
He added: “Russia, as it has done before in Syria, especially in Aleppo, will bomb all of Ukraine, regardless of the lives of civilians.”
“The Russian military is only doing what it knows how to do,” Borrell said, noting that Europe is dependent on Russian gas and the first thing to do is to break that dependence. We have witnessed this in Aleppo, all of Syria and the Chechen Republic. “The Russian army will continue to bomb Ukraine, regardless of the civilian casualties.”
He added: “We must reduce Europe’s dependence on Russian gas by a third by the end of the year.” We should have reduced this dependence when we saw the occupation of Crimea by Russia.
It has been almost 10 days since the escalation of tensions between Russia and Ukraine.
