The UN secretary-general has called on the Taliban to reopen all schools in Afghanistan

The UN secretary-general called on the Taliban to open all schools across the country to girls and boys.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for the reopening of girls ‘high schools and high schools in Afghanistan, calling for the reopening of girls’ schools.
“The promises are disappointing and will do significant damage to Afghanistan,” Guterres said in a statement. The UN secretary-general called on the Taliban to open schools to female students immediately.
The Taliban promised to reopen all schools for boys and girls across the country yesterday, but yesterday morning the group’s Ministry of Education announced that girls’ secondary and high schools would be closed until further notice.
