Taliban: Attacking three clerics in Mashhad, Iran has nothing to do with Afghans

The Taliban government has condemned the stabbing of three clerics in Mashhad, Iran, saying the attack had nothing to do with Afghans.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid tweeted last night that the Islamic Emirate condemned the attack on places of worship and clerics in Iran.

He added that this has nothing to do with Afghans and Afghanistan.

On Tuesday (16th of Hamal) in the courtyard of Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad, Iran, a person killed a cleric with a knife and wounded two others.

Iranian media reported that the assailant was a foreign national, but they refused to disclose his nationality.
