The Taliban summoned Iranian embassy officials

Following reports of ill-treatment of Afghan refugees in Iran, the Taliban Foreign Ministry has summoned Iran’s embassy officials.

Hafiz Zia Ahmad, the Taliban’s deputy foreign ministry spokesman, tweeted that Faizanullah Naseri. The head of the ministry’s second political department met with Iranian embassy officials at the Foreign Ministry headquarters yesterday and shared the concerns and feelings of the Afghan government and people with the embassy officials.

The Taliban Foreign Ministry is summoning Iranian embassy officials as videos of the mistreatment of Afghan refugees in Iran are being circulated on social media.
