Iran has denied closing its embassy in Kabul

Iranian Foreign Ministry officials say they have denied reports that the country’s embassy in Afghanistan has closed.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh told reporters that the Iranian embassy in Kabul and its consulates in Afghanistan were open and would continue to operate.
“All missions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan are open and continue to operate,” he said.
He added: “The governing body of Afghanistan is expected to responsibly ensure and protect the full security of diplomats and diplomatic missions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan.”
This morning, however, clients of Iranian embassy told the embassy in Kabul would be closed for the next four days.
