Turkey condemns assassination of Al-Jazeera TV reporter

In a message, the Turkish Presidential Communication Center condemned the killing of Al Jazeera TV correspondent Shirin Abu Aqela and called for a comprehensive, transparent and prompt investigation into the incident.

“Targeting journalists who serve the people and the truth is not acceptable under any circumstances,” said Fakhreddin Alton, head of the Turkish Presidential Communication Center. I call on the relevant authorities to investigate this incident promptly, transparently and in full detail, and to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Al-Jazeera TV correspondent Shirin Abu Aqela was shot dead by Israeli forces during a report on Israeli soldiers raid on a refugee camp in the West Bank.
