The United Nations expressed concern about restrictions on women and girls in Afghanistan

The head of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs says the restrictions imposed on women and children in Afghanistan are worrying.
In a tweet, Isabel Mossard Carlsen, head of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, expressed concern about the closure of girls’ schools and the imposition of restrictions on women and girls in Afghanistan.
He said that today ‘s students are doctors, nurses, teachers and engineers of tomorrow, and that educational restrictions should be lifted for girls.
He added: “Access to secondary education and high school is a basic right of girls and women and is a basic need of the future of the Afghan people.”
After taking control of Afghanistan, the Taliban imposed countless restrictions on women and girls.
The group also closed all schools in Afghanistan after coming to power, but after a while, boys ‘schools were opened to students, but girls’ schools are still closed.
