Turkish Red Crescent distributed food and clothing packages to 500 families in Kabul

The Turkish Red Crescent distributed food and clothing packages to 500 families in Kabul in the presence of the Turkish ambassador and the deputy head of the Afghan Red Crescent.
Turkish Red Crescent officials say the aid includes sugar, pasta, oil, beans, tea, clothes and blankets.
Jihad Arginai, who was present during the distribution of the aid, said: “So far, about 5,000 tons of humanitarian aid have been sent to Afghanistan by four chains of charity and distributed to the needy in 34 provinces.”
Emphasizing that his country will continue to provide assistance to the Afghan people, he added that a total of 50,000 families in need have directly benefited from Turkey’s recent humanitarian assistance. Turkish institutions also indirectly provide assistance to tens of thousands of Afghans and their families.
Maulvi Nooruddin Torabi, Deputy Chief of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, also thanked Turkey for its assistance to the Afghan people and called for continued assistance.
