The Pakistani Taliban have declared an indefinite ceasefire with the Islamabad government

A spokesman for the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) says it has declared an indefinite ceasefire following a new round of talks with the Pakistani government.
Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Mohammad Khorasani said in a statement that the ceasefire decision was made after talks with a 50-member delegation of tribal elders in Kabul.
According to him, the talks were mediated by the officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
Two days ago, two Pakistani security officials said that Islamabad had sent a 50-member delegation to Kabul to negotiate an extension of the ceasefire between the Pakistani government and the Pakistani Taliban.
However, the Pakistani government has not yet officially commented on the matter.
