Red Cross: The Afghan crisis cannot be contained without the full mobilization of the international community

The representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Afghanistan says that the crisis in Afghanistan cannot be contained without the full mobilization of the international community.
Alvin Filion, head of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Afghanistan, tweeted calling for full mobilization of the international community to contain the Afghan crisis, noting that people in the country are still trying to find a piece of bread by selling their home appliances.
He added that the deepening economic crisis in Afghanistan has exacerbated the poverty and hunger of its citizens.
Earlier, Robert Mardini, director general of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), tweeted urging donors to take immediate action to boost Afghanistan’s economy, saying it would stand by the Afghan people because the future is uncertain.
However, after the recent developments in Afghanistan, the country faced an economic crisis that exacerbated poverty, unemployment and hunger.
