The Taliban have denied Human Rights Watch’s report on the killing of innocent people

The Taliban have denied reports by Human Rights Watch that innocent people have been killed or human rights abused by the group.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid dismissed the report in response to Human Rights Watch’s report on the killing of innocent people and human rights abuses by the group, saying the Islamic Emirate called on the United Nations and human rights organizations to not listen propaganda aginst the Islamic Emirate. Human rights are guaranteed compared to twenty years ago.

Human Rights Watch has reported on human rights abuses and the killing of innocent people by the Taliban, and called on the international community to put pressure on the group.

Two days ago, Heidar Barr, the head of the Women’s Observatory for Human Rights, tweeted that harsh statements were not enough, now is the time to impose travel restrictions on Taliban officials and independently review the role of the United Nations in Afghanistan.
