Announcing Iran’s readiness to send aid to earthquake victims in Afghanistan

Spokesman for Iran’s foreign ministry said the country was ready to send aid teams to the quake-hit areas of Afghanistan upon request.

Saeed Khatibzadeh, spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, expressed his condolences to the survivors of the earthquake in Afghanistan and said that his country had come to send relief teams to the earthquake-stricken areas in Afghanistan.

On the other hand, the Iranian Red Crescent Society has announced that it will send aid teams to the mentioned areas upon request.

A strong earthquake shook parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan this morning, killing 1,000 and injuring 1500 in Paktika, Khost and Nangarhar provinces.

As a result of this earthquake, residential houses in the eastern regions of Afghanistan have been destroyed and have caused great damage to the people of that region.
