Russia has announced its readiness to send aid to earthquake victims in Afghanistan

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has said it is ready to send aid to earthquake victims in Afghanistan at Kabul’s request.

According to Sputnik, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Moscow was ready to help the Afghan people, adding that Moscow was ready to provide the necessary assistance to the friendly people of Afghanistan at Kabul’s request.

He added: “We extend our sincere condolences to the people of Afghanistan, as well as to the families and relatives of the victims of this natural disaster, and wish the injured a speedy recovery.”

A strong earthquake shook parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan this morning, killing 1,000 and injuring 1500 in Paktika, Khost and Nangarhar provinces.
