Rina Amiri expressed disappointment with the results of international contacts with the Taliban regarding women

The US special representative for Afghan women’s affairs has expressed disappointment with the results of international contacts with the Taliban and says that these contacts have not brought positive results for women and girls in Afghanistan.
Rina Amiri, the US special representative for women and human rights in Afghanistan, refused to meet with the Taliban delegation in Doha and wrote in a tweet that she is ready to meet with this group if the Taliban take concrete steps to respect the human rights of Afghans.
But he supported the meeting of his colleagues with the Taliban delegation in Doha and said: We must meet with them if there is a prospect of meaningful action.
Mrs. Amiri said about the reason for not participating in this meeting, that after many consultations, she decided not to participate in this meeting.
Meanwhile, the US State Department has announced that the American delegation led by Tom West, the country’s special representative for Afghanistan, met with the Taliban delegation in Doha.
