America: With the death of Zawahiri, Al-Qaeda supporters will seek revenge

Following the death of the leader of al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, the US State Department has warned that the supporters of this group may seek revenge.

The US State Department has announced that the killing of Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of al-Qaeda, by the US in Afghanistan will force the group’s supporters to target American facilities or citizens.

The Ministry’s statement said: After al-Zawahiri’s death, supporters of al-Qaeda or its affiliated terrorist organizations may seek to attack facilities, personnel, or citizens of the United States of America.

Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed in a US drone strike on his home in Kabul on Sunday.

A day later, US President Joe Biden confirmed the killing of Zawahiri in a speech and said that the order to attack the al-Qaeda leader was issued a week ago.
