Mottaqi asked the international community to reach out to the victims of natural disasters in Afghanistan

The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban says that the government of this group is not able to reach the victims of natural events in the country and the international community and charity organizations should help these victims.

Amir Khan Motaghi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban today (Thursday) at the international meeting of the Ministry to collect aid for the victims of natural events in Afghanistan, asked the charity organizations and the international community to help the victims of natural events in the country.

He said in this meeting that as a result of the recent floods throughout Afghanistan, 200 people have died and nearly 300 others have been injured, and in addition, 2,000 residential houses and hundreds of thousands of acres of agricultural land have been destroyed and 9,000 livestock have been destroyed.

According to Mottaqi, 160 million Afghanis in cash have been distributed to the survivors of recent earthquakes in the country, food and non-food aid has been distributed to 20 thousand families, and permanent shelters have been built for more than 1 thousand others.

The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban added: The Ministry of Disaster Management, in cooperation with other ministries and aid organizations, has saved more than 20 thousand tons from the danger of floods, and the World Food Organization has provided food aid for six million people.

It should be mentioned that during this year, the residents of most provinces of Afghanistan have witnessed floods and earthquakes, which have killed hundreds of people and caused huge financial losses.
