Guterres: Closing schools to girls in Afghanistan is unjustifiable

The Secretary General of the United Nations says that it is unjustifiable for the Taliban to close schools for girls.

Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations in a tweet, emphasizing that girls should go to school in Afghanistan, said that closing schools to girls in this country is an unjustifiable violation of women’s rights and harms Afghanistan.

He wrote that Afghan girls belong to school, but they are still deprived of their classes.

It has been a year since the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, but schools for girls above the sixth grade are still closed in most of the provinces of this country.
