Taliban: Women cannot work in the country’s courts due to lack of understanding

Officials of the Taliban Supreme Court say that female judges cannot work in the country’s courts due to the lack of understanding and the unfavorable nature of the hijab.

Hizbullah Ebrahimi, the head of the Supreme Court of the Taliban, said yesterday in the media center of the government that female judges cannot work in the country’s courts due to the lack of understanding and the unfavorable nature of the hijab.

He added that the existence of these reasons made them not feel the need for the work of female judges in the country’s courts.

According to the officials of the Taliban Supreme Court, the total number of judicial posts across the country is about 2,600 people.

It is worth mentioning that after coming to power, the Taliban banned women from working in government offices.

Also, after the dominance of this group, girls’ schools were also closed to students above the sixth grade in most provinces of the country.
