European Union Representative: The Taliban have no right to deprive girls of education

The EU Special Representative for Afghanistan says that the Taliban have no right to deprive Afghan girls of education.
Thomas Nicholson, the European Union’s special representative for Afghanistan, in a tweet referring to a poll conducted by TOLO News, wrote that 90 percent of voters supported the education of girls, and this shows the desire of Afghans to educate their girls.
In an online poll conducted by Tolo News, 90% of voters supported girls’ education and 10% voted against girls’ education.
This survey was conducted after the fact that last week, Noorullah Munir, the Acting Minister of Education of the Taliban, said in a news conference in Uruzgan that according to the current situation, people themselves do not want to send their 16-year-old girls to school.
He said in the conference that the ministry is trying to provide suitable conditions for girls so that they can study in a suitable environment.
According to the Acting Minister of Education, the Taliban know the culture of the Afghan people and they do not do anything that is against this culture.
