The United Nations supported the construction project of Termez-Mazar-e-Sharif-Kabul-Peshawar railway line

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has announced that the Secretary General of the United Nations has supported the implementation of the Uzbekistan railway to Afghanistan and Pakistan during a meeting with the Foreign Minister of this country.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said in a statement that Antonio Guterres, the Secretary General of the United Nations, supported the construction of the Temrez-Mazar-e-Sharif-Kabul-Peshawar railway in a meeting with the Foreign Minister of that country, Vladimir Nurov.

The Ministry’s announcement states that the Secretary General of the United Nations and the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan have discussed this matter at the head office of this organization in New York.

It should be mentioned that the project line of the Termez-Mazar-e-Sharif-Kabul-Peshawar line costs 5 billion dollars and the delegations of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan agreed to start the practical work of this project in 2021 in Tashkent.
