Rina Amiri: The Taliban will not gain legitimacy without respecting human rights

The representative of the US in Afghanistan’s women’s affairs said that the Taliban cannot become a legitimate member of the international community without respecting the rights of the people.
Rina Amiri, the representative of the United States for Afghan women’s affairs, wrote yesterday in a tweet on the occasion of the International Girls Day, that the Taliban must respect the rights of all Afghans, especially women and girls, in order to gain international legitimacy.
He called the education of girls the basis and development of Afghanistan and said that banning the education of girls is not only harmful to this country but also to the world and their empowerment will lead to the development and progress of Afghanistan.
Banning girls’ education by the Taliban is an issue that has attracted the attention of the international community.
The United Nations has repeatedly asked the Taliban not to prevent girls from continuing their education in Afghanistan.
