Putin stressed the release of frozen assets of Afghanistan

The President of Russia has demanded the release of the frozen assets of Afghanistan and compensation for the losses caused to this country during the years of war.

According to Sputnik, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the sixth meeting of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (SICA): “We want compensation for the losses caused to Afghans during the years of occupation and the release of illegally blocked assets of Afghanistan.”

The President of Russia added: “As a result of more than 20 years of American and NATO military presence and the failure of their policies, this country has not been able to independently solve problems related to terrorist threats, which as the series of bloody terrorist attacks continues Including the explosion in the Russian embassy in Kabul.

Putin emphasized that in order to normalize the situation in Afghanistan, the economic situation of this country should be jointly improved.

The Russian President also invited all Asian countries to cooperate more closely with the International Information Bank, which was created at the initiative of Russia to fight terrorism.
