The president of Tajikistan expressed concern about the presence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan

The president of Tajikistan has said that tens of thousands of suicide bombers are being trained in Afghanistan.
In a meeting with the leaders of Russia and Central Asian countries, Imam Ali Rahman, the president of Tajikistan expressed his concern about the presence of militants on the borders of Afghanistan and said that the activities of terrorist groups have increased in this country.
Emphasizing that tens of thousands of suicide bombers are currently being trained on the borders of Afghanistan, he said: “We are witnessing the expansion of the activities of various terrorist and extremist groups in Afghanistan.”
The president of Tajikistan added that more than 12 terrorist groups are present in Afghanistan.
Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin also expressed his concern about the influence of ISIS in Afghanistan in a telephone conversation with his Tajik counterpart and said that he believes that this group has strength in the north of this country.
Meanwhile, the Russian ambassador in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, also told the media that measures are being taken to strengthen the protection of Tajikistan’s borders.
On the other hand, Pakistan and Iran also claim that the perpetrators of terrorist attacks on Shiite worshipers in Peshawar and Iranian clerics in Imam Reza’s shrine were Afghan nationals.
