The United Nations called for sustainable support for humanitarian programs for Afghans

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees says that a sustained support is needed to continue humanitarian programs to help the people of Afghanistan, including women and girls.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees wrote in a tweet that Filippo Grandi, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, called for sustained support for humanitarian programs to help Afghan refugees living in Iran and Pakistan.

According to the statistics announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran not long ago, more than one million Afghan citizens have migrated to Iran.

Also, a large number of Afghans who fled to Pakistan during the fall of the previous government of this country are in a bad economic situation.

On the other hand, according to the United Nations report, more than half of the population of Afghanistan currently needs humanitarian aid to survive.
