Today’s explosion casualties in Balkh reached 8 people

Health officials in Balkh Province say that 8 people have been killed as a result of an explosion in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, the center of this province.

Dr. Najib Tawana, head of public health in Balkh province, told the media that 8 people were killed and 9 others were injured as a result of today’s explosion in the center of this province.

However, Mohammad Asif Waziri, the spokesperson of Balkh Police, said that as a result of this explosion, 7 people were killed and 6 others were injured.

According to him, the explosion was caused by a mine and it happened near the Seyedabad intersection of the third district of Mazar-e-Sharif city.

He added that in this incident, a car carrying the employees of the Department of Petroleum Materials of Hayratan was targeted.

So far, no one or a group has taken responsibility for this explosion.
