Taliban Defense Minister met with Tom West
The Ministry of Defense of the Taliban Interim Government has announced the meeting of the Acting Minister of the Ministry with the US Special Representative for Afghanistan Affairs in the United Arab Emirates.
The Ministry’s announcement states that Maulvi Mohammad Yaqoob “Mujahid”, Acting Minister of Defense, during his trip to the United Arab Emirates, met with Tom Wiest, the special representative of the United States of America for Afghanistan affairs in Abu Dhabi.
The Ministry of Defense of the Taliban added that in this meeting the head of the ministry assured the special representative of the United States that there will be no threats to the countries of the region and the world from inside the territory of Afghanistan.
Acting Minister of Defense of the interim government of the Taliban also asked the US Special Representative for Afghanistan in this meeting that the world respects the territorial integrity of Afghanistan.
Maulvi Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid, Acting Minister of Defense of the interim government of the Taliban, recently traveled to the United Arab Emirates with a high-ranking delegation of the group.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that the Acting Minister of Defense will discuss with the United Arab Emirates officials about the relations between the two countries and the problems of Afghans living in that country.
