China asked its citizens to leave Afghanistan
After several Chinese citizens were wounded in an attack by armed attackers on a hotel in Kabul, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country has asked its citizens to leave Afghanistan as soon as possible.
According to Reuters, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin confirmed in a press conference that 5 Chinese citizens were wounded in an attack on a hotel in Kabul and demanded an investigation into the incident from the caretaker government of the Taliban.
He also asked the Taliban government to strengthen the security of Chinese citizens and active organizations in Afghanistan.
An attack on a hotel in the Shahrno area of Kabul, where Chinese diplomats and businessmen are said to have stayed, took place yesterday (Monday), which also resulted in several explosions.
Hours after that, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson of the caretaker government of the Taliban, announced in a tweet that no one was killed as a result of this incident and two foreign citizens who threw themselves from the top floor of this hotel sustained injuries.
But the Kabul Emergency Hospital has announced that 3 dead and 18 injured people have been transferred to this hospital.
