United Nations: 6 million people in Afghanistan are facing the risk of famine

The United Nations Women’s Organization has said that about 6 million people in Afghanistan are on the brink of famine, and women and girls will be the biggest victims of this crisis.
Emphasizing that women and girls are the most deprived of services in Afghanistan, this organization said in a tweet: “When women and girls are faced with direct obstacles to their right to move and work, they are the last people who have access to food, water, safe shelter and healthcare.”
The United Nations Women’s Organization added that in severe cases, girls in Afghanistan are sold by their families for marriage, and women in this country are forced to sell their assets to buy food.
This institution still called the lack of identification cards in most of the women in the provinces of Afghanistan as the reason for their lack of access to humanitarian aid.
