UNAMA demanded the cancellation of the Taliban’s decision to ban women from working

The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has said that the head of this organization, in a meeting with the Taliban’s Acting Minister of Economy, demanded the cancellation of the order banning women from working in Afghanistan.
In a statement, UNAMA said that the head of this institution, Ramez Al-Akbarov, met with the Taliban’s Minister of Economy Mohammad Hanif in Kabul and demanded the cancellation of the decision to ban women from humanitarian activities in domestic and international non-governmental organizations.
UNAMA added that millions of Afghans need humanitarian aid and it is important to remove obstacles in this field.
It should be mentioned that the Taliban’s recent decision to ban women from working in public and private institutions in Afghanistan has brought many reactions.
Earlier the Ministry of Higher Education of this group has also issued an order to stop the education of girls in private and public universities in Afghanistan.
