Karzai called Pakistan’s treatment of Afghan immigrants wrong

The former president of Afghanistan demanded the government of Pakistan to deal properly with Afghan immigrants and called their detention by the government of Islamabad wrong and against values.
Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, in a tweet called the Pakistani government’s treatment of Afghan immigrants wrong and wrote that the situation of Afghan immigrants, including women and children, in Pakistani prisons is deplorable.
The former president of Afghanistan asked the government of Islamabad to treat Afghan immigrants based on human rights and international principles.
Mr. Karzai also asked the United Nations and human rights organizations to take effective steps to free Afghan immigrants from prison and secure their rights.
Two days ago, the Afghan embassy in Islamabad wrote in a tweet that a number of Afghans, including women and children, who are imprisoned in Pakistan’s Sindh province, have not been released from prison despite the commitment of the Pakistani authorities to officials of the Afghan embassy to release them.
This embassy requested the Pakistani authorities to release these prisoners and added that it is painful to imprison Afghan immigrants in that country, especially children, women and adults.
