The Taliban announced the continuation of efforts to free the Afghan refugees imprisoned in Pakistan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban has announced that efforts are underway to free the Afghan refugees imprisoned in Pakistan.

The spokesman of the Taliban’s foreign ministry said that so far, talks have been held with the officials of the Pakistani embassy in Kabul, the special representative of Pakistan in Afghanistan and some other officials of this country about solving the problems of Afghan immigrants in Pakistan, and efforts are being made to solve this problem as soon as possible.

Before this, the Afghan embassy in Islamabad also wrote in a tweet that a number of Afghans, including women and children, who are imprisoned in Pakistan’s Sindh province, have not been released from prison despite the commitment of the Pakistani authorities to officials of the Afghan embassy to release them.

According to the Afghan embassy in Pakistan, the imprisonment of Afghans by the Islamabad government does not have a good effect on the relations between the two countries, and the Afghans imprisoned in that country should be released as soon as possible.

The Taliban Information and Media Center also quoted the National Human Rights Commission of Pakistan as saying that at least 139 Afghan women and 165 children are being held in the women’s prison in Karachi along with other criminals.
