UNAMA pays the salaries of its female employees

The Office of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has announced that it will pay the salaries of all female employees who worked in this organization on a monthly basis.

UNAMA called the role of women in delivering humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan important and said that this organization has kept all female employees in their positions and will not replace any men.

According to this institution, the absence of women in foreign institutions hinders the distribution of humanitarian aid in Afghanistan.

It should be mentioned that recently, the Ministry of Economy of the Taliban ordered all domestic and foreign institutions in Afghanistan to prevent women from working, and this decision of this group faced new reactions from the international community.

In response to this action of the Taliban, several relief organizations in Afghanistan have stopped their activities in this country.
