Jan Egeland: We cannot resume our donations without the presence of female employees

The Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council says that without the presence of female employees, the organization’s offices cannot reach the needy people in Afghanistan.
Jan Egeland, Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council, who has come to Afghanistan, wrote in a tweet that this organization is ready to start aid operations immediately, but the offices of this organization cannot reach the needy people in Afghanistan without the presence of female employees.
He said: “Our offices are almost empty and all operations throughout Afghanistan have been paralyzed. Without our male and female staff, we cannot resume our vital assistance. We cannot reach women and children without female staff. NRC respects all traditional Afghan values for dress, travel and workplace. »
It should be mentioned that in response to the ban on women working in domestic and foreign institutions by the Taliban, several international relief organizations have stopped their activities in Afghanistan.
According to the officials of these institutions, the absence of female employees will cause a setback in the process of providing assistance to the needy people in Afghanistan.
