The Ministry of Public Works announced the closure of several highways due to snowfall

The Ministry of Public Works has announced that following heavy snowfall, important highways in several provinces of the country have been blocked for traffic.

The ministry said that due to the heavy snowfall, Haji Gek, Shato, Aqrabat and Abgul Kerman and Pol Vers roads in Bamyan province and Sabzak road in Badghis province are closed to traffic.

The ministry added that the Salang highway is also blocked for traffic due to heavy snowfall, and Sheikh Jalal and Falfi roads in Baghlan province and Qom road in Balkhab district in Sarpul province are also blocked for traffic.

According to the Ministry of Public Works, there is snow and rain in the provinces of Kabul, Logar, Maidan Wardag, Parwan, Panjshir, Ghor, Badakhshan, Takhar, Nuristan, Paktia, Zabul, Kapisa and Khost, and their respective roads are still open to traffic.

The Ministry of Public Works added that the ministry is trying to clear the highways and roads that are blocked due to snowfall soon.
