Mujahid: No country should interfere in Afghanistan’s internal affairs

In response to the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on the situation in Afghanistan, the spokesman of the Taliban said that no country should interfere in the internal affairs of Afghanistan.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the caretaker government of the Taliban, said in a statement about the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation regarding Afghanistan that the Islamic Emirate appreciates the meeting and the declaration of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in relation to Afghanistan.

He added that the countries should continue their assistance to the Afghan people and no country should interfere in the internal affairs of Afghanistan.

According to Mr. Mujahid, the concern of the mentioned organization regarding the education of women is understandable, but the Islamic Emirate has taken a temporary step in this regard, which will be resolved when the conditions are favorable.

The Taliban spokesman said that the Islamic Emirate asks all organizations, especially the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to have a close understanding with the Islamic Emirate and to continue their assistance to the people of Afghanistan.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in a statement it held on Wednesday about Afghanistan, asked the leaders of the Taliban to cancel their decision to suspend the education and work of women and girls in Afghanistan.
