The death toll from cold weather in Afghanistan reached 166 people

Officials in the government ministry for handling incidents say that as a result of the cold weather in different parts of the country, 166 people died and 22 others were injured.
Abdulrahman Zahid, the general director of finance and administration of this ministry, told Salam Vatandar: “Unfortunately, 166 people were killed, 22 people were injured, more than 100 houses were destroyed, and 80,000 livestock were lost due to the cold in 24 provinces. are The government ministry has helped 30,000 families so far and we ask international institutions to help more.”
It should be noted that during the past two weeks, the severity of the cold weather in Afghanistan has increased unprecedentedly, and the residents of most provinces of the country have faced many problems.
Also, as a result of heavy snowfall, the roads of most of Afghanistan’s provinces are also blocked for traffic.
