Taliban: Reports about banning the use of contraceptives are not true
The Ministry of Public Health of the Taliban says that the reports about the ban on the use of contraceptives by this ministry are not true.
In an interview with the BBC, Javed Hajir, the spokesman of the ministry, said that the ministry has not implemented any kind of ban on the use of contraceptives.
He said that contraceptives are related to this ministry and these drugs are among the drugs authorized by the National Drug and Food Administration of Afghanistan.
According to him, pharmacies should sell these drugs with doctors’ prescriptions.
Earlier, reports were published that the Taliban have banned the use of contraceptives.
