The ambassador of Japan stressed on removing the obstacles to girls’ education in Afghanistan

The Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Taliban says that the head of the ministry met with Takashi Okada, the Japanese ambassador in Kabul.

The ministry’s newsletter states that Takashi Okada, the ambassador of Japan, in a meeting with Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Acting Minister of Interior, expressed hope that in the next academic year, obstacles will be removed from the education of girls and women in Afghanistan.

The Acting Minister of Interior of the Taliban also said in this meeting that the economic sanctions and banking restrictions have faced problems for Afghans and the policy of sanctions is not in the interest of anyone.

Emphasizing that understanding should be used to resolve problems and contradictions, he added that the world’s political stance towards the Islamic Emirate is not fair and because ordinary people are being punished.

The ambassador of Japan further promised that his country will cooperate with the Afghan government in the economic field and solving challenges.
