The Afghan consulate in Istanbul was handed over to the Taliban

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban has announced that the Afghan consulate in Istanbul has been entrusted to the diplomats of this group.

Zia Ahmad Takal, the Deputy Spokesman of the Taliban Foreign Ministry, said that the diplomats of this ministry have officially started their work in the Afghan consulate in Istanbul, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is trying to provide consular services for Afghans living in Istanbul.

Zaker Jalali, the advisor to the acting foreign ministry of the Taliban, also wrote in a tweet yesterday that the responsibility of the Afghan consulate in Istanbul has been officially handed over to the Islamic Emirate team led by Golmat Khan Zadran.

It should be mentioned that Iran also recently handed over the Afghan embassy in Tehran to Taliban diplomats.

This action of Iran has faced serious reactions, but the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country said in a statement that the developments in the Afghan embassy in Tehran are an internal issue related to Afghanistan and Iran is not involved in it.
