Taliban: YouTube channels are required to obtain a license
The Ministry of Information and Culture of the caretaker government of the Taliban has announced that the officials of YouTube channels will not be able to operate freely without obtaining a license from this ministry.
According to Salam Watandar, Abdul Matin Qane, the spokesman of the Ministry of Information and Culture of the Taliban, said that according to the new plan of this ministry, the officials of the YouTube channels in Afghanistan are required to obtain an activity license after this.
According to him, more than 100 YouTube channels have received operating licenses from the Ministry of Information and Culture.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Information and Culture said that YouTube channels must have a guarantee of 10,000 Afghanis and they must pay 4,000 Afghanis to obtain a three-year license.
It should be mentioned that before the Taliban came to power, the number of YouTube channels in Afghanistan increased, and the officials of these channels are active in the fields of entertainment, sports and education.
