World Food Program: Hunger threatens 20 million people in Afghanistan

The World Food Program says that hunger threatens nearly 20 million people in Afghanistan.
The World Food Program (WFP) wrote in a tweet that severe hunger has affected nearly 20 million Afghans, 6 million of whom are just one step away from famine.
This organization added that it needs 93 million dollars to help the needy people in Afghanistan by April and 800 million dollars for the next six months, and currently, due to the lack of funds, it is forced to limit its aid to the needy people in this country.
WFP added that it renews its call for immediate and continuous support for critical operations in Afghanistan and that the international community must prioritize the basic needs of the country’s most vulnerable people.
According to this organization, in the current situation, it will only be able to provide aid to four million people in April, while this number is considered to be 13 million.
