Thomas West talked about Afghanistan in a meeting with the Prime Minister of Qatar
Thomas West, the US special representative for Afghanistan affairs, says that he talked about solving Afghanistan’s problems in a meeting with Qatar’s prime minister in Doha.
He wrote in a tweet that in a meeting with Mohammad Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Prime Minister of Qatar and Mutlaq Bin Majid Al Qahtani, the special representative of the Foreign Minister of that country, they discussed solving the challenges in Afghanistan.
He called Qatar a vital partner and added: “We seek to protect the interests of the United States, support the Afghan people, and defend their rights.”
The US special representative for Afghanistan had announced his trip to Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Turkey for three days.
He called the purpose of this trip to solve the challenges in Afghanistan.
