Karzai spoke with Thomas West about Afghanistan’s challenges

Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, spoke in a telephone call with Thomas West, the US special representative for Afghanistan affairs, about solving the challenges in the country.
The former president of Afghanistan wrote in a tweet that in this conversation he emphasized on the sustainability and acceleration of humanitarian aid and for better access of people to aid.
He added that in this conversation, he also stressed on removing the obstacles to the activities of national and international relief organizations and institutions and lifting the ban on women’s work in these institutions.
In this conversation, the two sides also talked about the reopening of schools and universities for girls and the return of women to work, and in order to ensure lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan, they emphasized on starting the national dialogue as soon as possible.
